Whether your family is one person or seven people it is the right size to enjoy the Advent Family Event! There will be crafts, snacks, learning and lots of fun. In the end you'll go home with an Advent yule log to mark the weeks towards Christmas. The festivities begin at 10am and end at noon on Saturday December 1st.

Youth off to New Orleans!

Our youth were blessed in worship on July 15th and left for New Orleans July 16th.  Pray that they have safe travels, a great experience and a wonderful time.   Our eight youth have been preparing for the Gathering for over a year, fundraising, planning and learning.  They have worked on selecting t-shirts and giveaways for the Gathering, worked on a group covenant and have discussed the themes and activities they will experience in New Orleans.  The days will focus on practicing Peacemaking, Discipleship and Justice.  They will be sharing their experiences with us in worship on August 5th.

Those who invested in our youth by purchasing shares of stock in the group will receive special updates while they are in New Orleans as well as an invitation to the Shareholders Dinner on August 2nd.  It's a priceless return on your investment! 

Christian Ed Happenings!

Mark your calendar now for the beginning of Sunday School – September 9, 2012.

Join us on September 8^th to help clean up the spaces we will be using.  Sunday school uses the whole building – so we need lots of volunteers!  We’ll begin at 10:00am and work until we are finished or too tired to work any more.  The more people helping, the less time it will take and the more spaces will get cleaned.  Remember – Cleanliness is next to Godliness!

And plan now on how you are going to help with Sunday School this year!  We need rotation leaders, age group leaders, participants, people willing to help with birthdays, someone to help keep track of Sunday school attendance, people willing to fill in where needed.  Training is provided.  With everyone volunteering, we will have a great year.  Sunday School will not happen unless you are involved!
